At Project: VISION, we believe a good education is the foundation of future success. While we know it is important to achieve high test scores and good grades, more importantly, our programs strive to help students develop a love for learning, practice good study skills and build the confidence they need to continue to do well in school and reach their dreams of going to college.
Project: VISION youths learn to give back to the community by participating in service learning projects throughout the year. Not only can students earn required community service hours for school, but they also learn about issues important to our neighborhood and help make a difference by volunteering. For those students participating in the After School Homework Tutoring Program, don’t forget to complete your service requirement in order to keep getting tutoring services (6th-8th graders need 5 hours per semester, and 9-12th graders need 10 hours per semester).
Project: VISION’s programs aim to help students become leaders who can help build our community into a stronger, better place! Projects are youth-led so that students can practice workplace skills, teamwork, and build confidence and sense of responsibility. Community service projects and internship opportunities can also help youth explore interests and careers.
