2022 MLK DAY OF SERVICE

On Martin Luther King, Jr. Day, we celebrated MLK’s legacy and the spirit of volunteerism with our middle school students by encouraging them to give back and practice compassion.

Thanks to Sueylee from the Xilin Association, we learned about the important programs and services offered to vulnerable groups of people like senior citizens in our community.

For our service project, we learned more about MLK’s legacy of service and tested our knowledge with Kahoot! questions. Students then worked together to write letters that bring positivity, offer kind words, and send compassionate thoughts to send to the elders from the Xilin Association and Love For Our Elders. We hope that offering words of encouragement and kindness will brighten their day!
